Hemant Kenkre is a cricket lover-turned-journalist who has been involved with the sport for as long as he can remember. Growing up in cricket-centric Mumbai- a city that has produced scores of talented cricketers- he has had the privilege of watching and playing with some of the legends of Indian cricket. He has played club cricket with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Tiger Pataudi to name a few.

The first thing that one will notice about Hemant Kenkre is his contagious energy. The second is the fact that he has endless interesting stories to tell. Mamta Joseph unearthed some of these interesting cricket stories whilst talking to him during the second semi-final of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
